Mike Leach has been all the rage in the small town of Pullman ever since he took over as head coach at Washington State. His press conferences are entertaining to say the least. His discussions with reporters are epic.
Take Tuesday's question and answer session outside Martin Stadium. Among the "tough" questions: will Jeff Tuel, who left the last game with an injured knee, play on Friday night.
"[He is] full strength, he looked tremendous to me," said Leach.
"Is he your starter," asked a reporter.
"Well, shoot, it wouldn't be exciting if you already knew the results of everything now, would it? Hang on to your seat and make sure you tune in," he said.
He looked away to ask someone what time the game started on Friday, and in classic Mike Leach style delivered a thoughtful zinger.
"You're going to want to be there…. You're going to want to be there at abut 5:58 so you're on top of that."
Never a dull moment in Pullman these days.
