SPOKANE, Wash. - Just one game separates the Spokane Shock from a date in the Arena Bowl. That is, just one game against a formidable foe separates the darling of the AFL from playing in its first-ever Arena Football League championship. And to think they could do it in just their first year in the resurrected league.
The Shock beat Arizona last Friday to advance to the National Conference Championship game. They'll face Milwaukee Thursday night in Spokane - another game broadcast nationally on the NFL Network.
"It's gonna take hard work, dedication, unity - what we've been doing," said Travis Williams, who was named Player of the Game after one of his best performances of the year against Arizona. "Just because we won this game doesn't mean we can get lax or complacent."
