We've been hot with our home run bets of late, but there's no time to celebrate or revel in the winnings. There are eight games on the MLB slate for Monday night, so let's check out the three home run props I'm eyeing up.
Shohei Ohtani is absolutely on fire at the dish right now. The superstar slugger is currently riding an eight-game hitting streak, and he's recorded seven hits and two homers in his last 13 at-bats. With a lefty-righty matchup on deck against Texas Rangers starter Dane Dunning, I think Ohtani has a great chance to stay hot and poke one over the fence Monday night.
In 27 plate appearances since being called up to the Cincinnati Reds, Elly De La Cruz is hitting .364 with a homer, a double, and a triple. He hasn't gone yard in his last four games, but tonight is a good time to get back on the board against Kansas City Royals starter Zack Greinke, who's given up 11 home runs across 13 starts this year.
Jared Walsh doesn't have a single home run in 60 plate appearances this season, but this is the perfect time for him to strike. In 11 career at-bats against Dunning, Walsh has six hits and two homers. He's also walked five times and struck out only twice, so he clearly sees Dunning well. This is a great price on an even better matchup.
