Colin Cowherd Embarrasses Himself with Bears Draft Scenarios
Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports

On Thursday Night Football, the Chicago Bears squeaked out a 16-13 win against the league-worst Carolina Panthers. The game had significant meaning for Chicago's future as the Bears own Carolina's 2024 first-round draft pick via the DJ Moore trade. With the Panthers maintaining the league's worst record, the Bears are currently sitting pretty with the acquired pick.

For one sports talk show host, that was too much to handle. Colin Cowherd, the host of "The Herd with Colin Cowherd," made the argument that the Bears hurt their draft outlook by winning. Making it even more embarrassing, a graphic clearly showing the Bears in possession of the No. 1 overall pick appeared right next to Cowherd.

Cowherd has always carried himself like he's one of the top sports personalities in the nation, but this blatant mistake just shows a lack of preparation. If he really wanted to tee off on the Bears, there's plenty of other ammunition out there.

Entering Week 11 of the NFL season, the Bears own the No. 1 overall pick (via Carolina) and their natural selection at No. 5. Whether general manager Ryan Poles sticks around or not, the Bears have some pieces in place and a favorable outlook for the 2024 NFL Draft.
